Dontcha just love Kenny K images!!! I do. I found a whole load of images that I had printed off and spent the last couple evenings just colouring. Very therapeutic if I do say so myself. I have even dragged out my prismacolour pencils for some of them as well :)

I would like to get some pro-markers to add to my copic collection now I think, as they are a lot cheaper than copics nowadays and from what I have read and heard, they are just as good for what I would need them for :)

Caty picked this card that I made the other night, using a sketch challenge, but cannot remember for the life of me whose challenge it was!! lol. I hope her friend like it

Well I experimented with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks on this tag that I bought simply ages ago. I quite like it. I used my new Martha Stewart Butterfly punch as well, very happy with this card :)

Well its another year, 2012 and I am going to be the big 40 this year!!!! wow that has crept up quietly I must say lol

I have been busy making some cards for family members and a good friend from work :)

The first card is for my friend Debbie, and she loved it.

I used my new paper pads that I bought months and months ago, but had yet to open yet, I was waiting until I moved house and got things set up again.

I used my new stamp set that my other half got me for Christmas, by Docrafts Papermania, these are the new Urban Stamps and they are simply gorgeous :) - I added my usual distressing using my distress inks by Tim Holtz. The bow was created using some seam binding that I ordered from The Ribbon Girls last year sometime :)

I made the above card for my partners mother, whose birthday is this weekend, hope she likes it

Now this cutie, is of course using the wonderful Elzybells stamps, and how I love these little stamps. This is for my partner's son whose birthday is on 6th January :) He loves to scooter and skateboard, so this should suit him down to the ground I hope

Now this one is for my lovely brother, who has a springer spaniel called Cassie, now I don't have any springer spaniel stamps so I made this dog into a bit of a springer for him!!! lol, hope he likes it as well

Well, I have had a very busy productive day, went to work with my partner, did a spot of last minute christmas shopping, now completely broke lol, then the food christmas shopping - apart from a few bits tomorrow, now completely finished, finally :).

I promised I would show a few more of my cards that I eventually made, so here goes:-

I purchased this beautiful Tina Wenke stamp a while ago, I absolutely adore it, after seeing it in one of the cardmaking magazines. How cute are those two little birds. I will definitely use this year after year.

I had this beautiful digital nutcracker girl, I got this for last christmas when I was part of the Stamp Something design team, still a beautiful image in my mind.

Happy Christmas everyone, well whoever still reads my blog lol

I am finally settled into my new house in Shaftesbury, and its been a very long time coming!!

The house is a new build, and has had its fair share of problems, all typical with a new build apparently! lol still the probs all get sorted over the year which is good.

I now have my crafting area all set up in the corner of my lounge, which is fabulous, its still a little messy!! ahem but I am getting there he he he - enough to have made quite a few christmas cards this year, none that I have sent out, been a very bad girl in that respect, but I have given them to my partner to give to his work colleagues instead :)

I bought this gorgeous snowman that is from Kraftin Kimmie, soooo cute. I used the cute First Edition Paper pad Christmas Joy for this card, with my usual Tim Holtz distressing and beautiful ribbon :)

Now for this card, I dragged out a very old Stampin Up christmas set, and I still absolutely adore this Father Christmas!! The sentiment is from a freebie set of Tattered Teddies that I got in a magazine fairly recently.

I would show you a few things that I was lucky enough to get for my birthday from my fiance and my girls, and best friends :)

Look at this gorgeous mosaic bowl!!!! I love it, it is hopefully going to go in my new dining room, when I get one!!

Good friends bought this for me, its from the Body Shop, as you can see, and its white musk!! simply lovely

My partner took my girls shopping for my pressies, bless him, and this was from my eldest daughter, I love this and this will be going in my new lounge.

I love agite slices, and we went all the way to Lyme Regis for these, I got three to go with one that my daughter bought us a year ago. Aren't they pretty :)

My youngest got me my incense burner, I love incense sticks, so this is heaven.

Sorry I don't have any cards to show you, I have been printing some digi stamps out, and doing some colouring but with moving and packing things up, I am very limited to what I have to use, plus I have to confess to not having much crafting mojo at the moment, people are right, moving is definitely one of the more stressful things to do in life, that and getting married!!! ha ha

Well its another year over for my girls, and its a big year for Caitlin, who is finishing Primary School, we had her Leavers Assembly today, it was brilliant, so moving and very funny, I videoed the whole thing, so pleased with that.

I made Caty a couple cards for the teaching assistants that help out in her class. I had a couple of images that i had already coloured up, and as I am still trying to tidy and sort out my crafting stuff for packing/moving etc I thought it best to start using up my images lol

See the lovely red and yellow pot behind my card, my eldest daughter, Beth made this for me in Secondary School it is all glazed and its beautiful, its hopefully going to go in my new kitchen, when we finally get an exchange and completion date!!!

gorgeous fairy by Mo Manning lol, and so perfect for my daughters thank you card, for her teacher who is also retiring at the end of this summer

I had so much fun with this card, all the shading and distressing, I even got to use one of my lovely new gardenia flowers and added some stickles glitter glue :)

I am entering this into the Sketch Saturday this week

Am busy trying to create my card for Cards for Men which is due on Monday!!! I have a lovely weekend planned for my birthday which is on Friday, my girls have been shopping with their step-dad (to be) lol its always an interesting trip out, my youngest definitely has a mind of her own!!! pmsl xx

Two birds with one stone ...

We like days like this when you can kill two birds with one stone. I had to make a card for my daughter to give to her Year 6 teacher, who is now her acting headmaster at her school, and we wanted it to be special, not your run of the mill bought card lol.

I went with Mo Manning's gorgeous digi stamps in the end, you can always find something that looks fab on her site.

I used some of the gorgeous My Minds Eye Line Twist Fly a Kite paper pad for the background and to incorporate the Kite into one of the elements from the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp

I coloured in using my copics.

Hope you like, I have another Teacher's card to show you tomorrow for my youngest's teacher, who is also retiring this year :)

Hey

Can anyone help, I want to make a couple of thank you cards for Teachers for end of July, especially as Caty is finishing at Southill etc, but I am drawing a blank on what to do, I had thought about using a digi stamp or two, but cannot seem to find anything appropriate, one of my girls has a male teacher and other other is female, so I am not so stuck for the female, but am hitting my head on the wall over the male themed card!! lol

Any help or ideas would be hugely appreciated :)

Hi everyone

Well I am still fairly missing in action due to all this moving lark and waiting, oh and waiting some more. Shesh, I would have thought buying a new house would be easy but ha ha ha, how wrong I was!!!! nightmare is more like it. Never mind, only a few more months hopefully, otherwise I will be kicking butt!!!

My boss at work unfortunately lost his Dad last Friday, very sad so I offered to make the office a sympathy card, and I was up till gone 12 pm last night hunting for my mojo!!

I went with a beautiful card by Craftwork Cards, used a cuttlebug embossing folder, which I haven't used for a couple years I suppose now, but I really should, as they give such fabulous umph, I then cut a spellbinder fleur de lys and cut out a sizzix branch and punched some retro flowers out, scrunched, spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Pearl mist and gently inked with Tim Holtz distress inks. The sentiment is one from an Elzybells set I got when she was closing down.

Oh its official, I am a bad bad bad challenge blogger!!!!

I got to do the posting this week for Cards for Men and talk about panicing!!! I did the posting, and then realised there were big white boxes everywhere lol, cause the blog is in a darker colour etc so black type doesn't show up!! arrhhhhhhhh he he he

So I get that sorted with the wonderful help of Donna and her hubby, and then realised about three minutes ago I had forgotten my own post on my blog!!! oh for goodness sakes!!!

Stamp Something - June Digi Day plus Guest DT Call

Okay, seriously, where are the months going!!!! Over at Stamp Something, it is another Digi Day!! woop woop, and I was soooooo very lucky to get Sassy Studio Designs to play with. I adore these digi stamps, and I chose Sassy Skater, so very cute. My girls love her.

Now there is lots of news over on the Stamp Something blog, please pop on over and have a looksy, from goodbyes to a Summer Guest DT Call!!!! There are loads of prizes to be won, as usual on digi day.

Now, for my card, I used some freebie Fancy Pants designer papers that came in this months Simply Cards and Papercraft, loooooove these papers, so lush. I coloured in using my copics, of course, and made a finding, and that was do not leave your pens in a conservatory, as I have found two of mine have dried out!!!! booo hiss, with a few mumbles in between.

I used the elements page as well that came free for the photo corners, and the flags, loving these at the moment. I added some blitter, a little flower button with some ikea twine, and finished off with a little white doodling around the image - I love this card.

Hope you are all having a good week, I am off with the girls for the rest of this week, and it is turning into a hectic week so far, trying to sort out rented accommodation for end of July/early August for me and the girls, Bryn unfortunately won't be allowed to come so my other half is going to look after him for me. Hopefully middle September my house will be ready to move into, gosh I hope so for the girls and I sakes!!!! lol

Slightly off kilta but....

I had to show you three photos of my middle daughter, Caty, it was her 11th birthday last week, and I think, from the photos below you can tell she had a lovely time!!!! lol

I got her a bag from New Look that I knew she would absolutely love, and she did, as the photos can attest too lol.

Her main present, from myself and my other half, was her mobile phone, pink of course, along with a pink case to keep it safe, and she was completely over the moon. I have had that stored and hidden since before Christmas lol.

We gave her a lovely party as well, with about 26 of her friends from school coming along. She and her friends had a complete blast :) she is such a sweetheart, has been struggling with the whole moving lark as doesn't see why we should move out of the only home she has ever known, but as we have tried to sit down and explain to her, it is time to move on and start a new chapter in our lives now, and I can only hope and pray that this lovely little girl will carry on being the very beautiful, happy vivacious, and very hilarious young lady she is turning into, love you poppet xxxx

Cards for Men - Challenge 10 "Someone Special"

Wahoo here we are again, where does two weeks go!!!! This challenge ends of 23rd May.

I had great fun with my image, sooooo cute.

Luckily for me, I had printed out two copies of my image, so I set about decoupaging this and the balloons. I coloured in with my copics,did a whole lot of distressing lol. The papers are by MME Fine and Dandy True Blue I believe, such a cute bear.

I have started making cards for some bizarre reason without any sentiments on, possibly because if I put a sentiment on, unless its fairly general, I end up wasting the card!!! so I now leave them off lol

Sassy Studio Designs

Sassy Studio Designs is a fresh new company. We have been designing and selling for a year now, and we have been kindly received into the community of digi stampers and crafters. I started designing images shortly after I started stamping, reason being...I didn't hardly like anything else out there I was a young adult woman at the time I was engaged, had no kids, I wanted fun sexy images that I would enjoy using and my friends and hubby would enjoy receiving. Wow, Easter Monday already!!! where has the weekend gone....

Okay, so it is my first challenge for Cards for Men and what a challenge. We all got to play with some fabulous designs by our sponsor Fresh Brewed Designs and our theme this week was circles.

Hi. I am Heather Dennis. I am a homeschooling mother of 2 wonderful children, the wife of 12 years to the love of my life, a Christian and the owner of Fresh Brewed Designs. I have loved to draw and create ever since I was a child. My daughter has inherited my love of art and recently inspired me to start creating again.
All the images in my shop are hand drawn. I offer a wide range of images from coffee, cute and inspirational.I also love to create custom drawn images, so if you are looking for anything in particular, please feel free to drop me an email.

Happy Easter

to you all. Hope you have had a lovely relaxing day. The girls and I visited my other half at his place of work (especially as it was Easter Sunday) to see some of the lovely members of the older generation. The girls had a great time, helping in the gardens and chatting to the residents, they really are wonderful girls, so very keen to chat, and be kind and sympathetic, we had a lovely time.

I made this card the other day, again using the fabulous Pink Petticoat freebie stamp set from Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine. I adore this stamp set, so pretty and wonderful to colour in.

Isn't selling a house hard work, I had forgotten how hard it can be sometimes, not only do you have to have your house completely spotless and tidy, all the time, as you never know when someone might want to view it, but then there is the added stress of them viewing it!!!!! arrrhhhhhh lol

We have a lovely busy day planned tomorrow, the girls are really looking forward to it, will fill you in tomorrow evening :)

I had so much fun making this card, went a little mad with all the Elzybells stamps that came in the cute set. So gutted she closed shop :( but so pleased I had so many of her lovely stamps that I can keep creating with them :) lol

I did some machine stitching, and some distressing, I used some of my new papers, coloured in with my copics, used my nestability Stars and just had a ball

I was over the moon when I saw this months Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine. I love this magazine and get it every month and the freebie gifts they give are fab.

This is the first card I made with this cute set of freebie stamps that are from Pink Petticoat, sooooo cute, love this company as well.

I used my Fine and Dandy by My Mind's Eye paper pad, still in love with these pads lol - and plan on using them all up instead of keeping them and not using them!!!!

Well, having popped onto the Allsorts challenge blog, I knew exactly what I wanted to do this it lol, and as it is a Luck of the Irish challenge, out came this beautiful digi image that I have had since last year, and didn't know what to do with, I knew I loved it, but no ideas on what to create with it.

I have made this card, which I am going to send as a very belated Christmas thank you to my aunt/uncle in Ireland!!! Hope you like, I coloured in with copics, added some stickles and distressed using my distress inks.

Wahooooooo here is my take on the great challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge 36, I love this image, I believe this was a freebie a long time ago, gotta love those freebies. Coloured in using my copics as usual, and some old DCWV papers I found in my box. Now I originally made this for their last challenge which was a sketch, but have realised I missed the deadline, but this also qualifies for their new one, which is to use ribbon, lace or bows lol !!!!

Well, I found these gorgeous stamps a few weeks ago, and fell in love with this cute bear, now I am not normally a lover of colouring in bears, but recently there have been some super cute ones around. First Teddybo and now Fizzy Moon, how cute is this little fella below!!!

More than one Fold

Its the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and its More than one Fold - yippeee loved doing this, I used to make so many cards using this fold lol, its been ages.

I used my cute Penny Black Hedgie, I love this, now I normally decoupage the teddy bear and flowers, but on this occasion, I decided not to lol.

I used one of my newer paper pads, Love Letters by First Edition Paper, so very pretty. I decorated all the layers of the card, as you can see, as well as distressing them all. I have used some more bakers twine from Emma's store, and coloured in with my copics and some watercolouring for the blue sky.

Little Hanglar

I have had a couple of hAnglar and sTanglar stamps for eons, and am in a bit of a colouring mood at the moment, I tend to get like that when I have a lot on my mind or things aren’t quite right for whatever reason, so out came some stamps tonight, including this little guy. Now I then had to find a challenge, so off I went trawling the internet for the perfect challenges.

I came across the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge blog!!!! Oooooh delicious things to be seen on here as usual.

I also found a Verve sketch that I loved so this is how I created this little cutie tonight.

I coloured him in using my copics, I have also treated myself to most of the new colours that have just come out, as I absolute love my copics, and are now my main medium for colouring. I have had to replace a few colours already, having run out lol.
I used my new paper pad, MME Fine and Dandy True Blue, what a beautiful pad of papers, adorable. I am going to have to get a few more of these to stock up I thing, as I love the colours, both great for girls and boys, but especially the boys I think.

I have also used some of my new Bakers Twine that I got from Emma at Craft Emmas Store

I have made this pretty Mothers Day Card for my fiance's mum. I still have to finish it off with a Mother's day sentiment but I really love this card. I think its the papers that I adore so much and I finally used this cute digi image I have had for sooooo long.

It's Teddy Time

I came across the most gorgeous digi images, the site is Teddybo and the digital images are soooooooooooo cute.

Now I am not normally a teddy bear kind of girl, but I fell in love with these so badly, that I ordered two images yesterday, printed them out and sat and coloured them in last night!!!!

I have today, made two cards, now that is nearly completely unheard of lol.

I went with Easter Bunny Bea and Di-Bo-Saur, totally cute.

My first card I am entering into the Clean & Simple challenge, great sketch challenge this week and my second card I am entering into the Cute Card Thursday, yet again another beautiful sketch.

Hooooooow cute is this image??? He was one of the freebies that Mo gives away on her facebook page every now and then. I have to be honest, I didn't think I would know what to do with this, as he is not usually my cup of tea, but he was so easy to colour and perfect for little boys birthdays or new baby cards as well just beautiful. I had actually meant to enter this into one of the challenges over at Mo's Digitial Blog but, as usual, lol, I missed the deadline, I really am a little on the naff side when it comes to deadlines, it drives me nuts to be honest ha ha.

Hi girls

Better late than never - its time to enter the i{heart]2stamp's monthly challenge, its a great sketch this month as well, and I love colouring in, so out came my lovely image 'Posy' from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

I used a new paper pad that I got a few weekends ago, its by First Edition Papers and is called Desert Blooms by Mindy Terasawa, just beautiful papers. I coloured in using my copics and am very happy now as I have every single copic ciao pen and have started on the sketch ones to fill inbetween my colours for all the shades.

Well its Saturday evening, and after a day of walking, to the point of knackeredness!!! and a beauitful dinner of Tagliatelle and now a nice couple glasses of white wine I am just nicely chilling with my other half (the better half of us I think, he he) one of my girls is nicely tucked up in bed, and the other two are out walking the dog lol, so I thought I would post the card I made last night.

I got a new paper pad called Hanoverian, and it is 24 sheets of beautiful linen paper, such beautiful delicate colours along with the Embroidered Brads, which are completely gorgeous, not bought any before to match the paper packs as I find they are very pricey but I had to take some stuff back so needed to spend the pennies ha ha.

I am entering this in this week's Friday Sketchers challenge, as I love sketch challenges, as my regulars would know.

I saw a gorgeous card the other day using this wonderful digi image by Mo Manning.

I had printed some images out the other day, ready to colour in as and when needed, and I knew once I saw this sketch that I wanted to use this image.

I got out my new Basic Grey Marjolaine paper pad for it, gorgeous colours. I don't have any of the accessories that go with it, as in the UK they are so expensive I cannot justify spending that kind of money on buttons and brads!!!!

I used my copics, along with some of the new colours I got the other day. I love these pens, they are simply wonderful for colouring and shading.

I have nearly the whole collection of copic ciaos now!!! and a few sketch ones.

I used my MFT die-namic large scallop die, circle nestability dies, my new olive green satin ribbon, some new diamontes and a sentiment by Lili of the Valley.

Also entering this into this week's Mo's Digital Challenge - valentine with non traditional colours, hmmmm think this qualifies lol

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone

Happy Valentines Day to you all, I got a beautiful very romantic card and verse from my fiance, he really is a lovely lovely man.

I have made my card for him, using a very cute and sweet Penny Black clear stamp, have had this set for quite a few years now, and this is the first time I have inked it up!!!

I actually used a sketch I believe was from the Penny Black Challenge blog a few weeks ago, but it was perfect for this little image. I used some lush love papers that I have also had for quite a few years, and finally got around to being able to use them :) I added some of my lovely wide satin ribbon, I don't have the red, but am going to get it this afternoon, so I might actually change this card up as yet!!! who knows he he are we ever really happy with our creations until they are actually handed over, nope.

My fiance is working till very late this evening, but is going to pop in for a bite to eat with me, not good for the figure, but wouldn't have it any other way - hope you all have a lovely romantic evening, and I will catch you all more than likely, tomorrow :) x

Oh how I absolutely love this little image by Lili of the Valley, I knew as soon as I saw it I had to have it, I love dandelions and this little girl is so cute.

I found the great sketch over at Sketch Saturday that I wanted to try. Now this is not how I envisaged my card, and I have had to patch it up as I tried to sew some ribbon where the flower has gone, to no avail, it looked awful lol

I actually used some freebie papers from Simply Cards and Papercraft, they are simply beautiful colours and patterns this month, I love them. I also cut out one of the flowers and did a little distressing to it :)

Well here is the card I created the other night, as promised :) I used the Lovely new challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday for this as well

I used some more Basic Grey papers, as I have lots of these paper pads lol. Coloured in using my copics and used my sewing machine to put a pretty pattern around the edge of my designer paper, such a cool look.

I created a Die-namic scalloped rose and added this on top of my ribbon.

Romance at the coral!!

Ha ha, sorry couldn't resist lol, I made this card for the Romance challenge over at Lili of the Valley Thursday challenge blog

I created this shaped card all on my own, by using my Go Kreate No 160018 Large Frilly #3 dies, such a pretty pretty shape.

I used a gorgeous stamp from the new release of Lili of the Valley stamps, coloured in using my copics, still experiementing with the shading, but am getting better, well I think I am anyways.

I wrapped some of the gorgeous satin olive ribbon that I bought for just £1.50 (20 metres) complete bargain - today I visited Value House again, and I picked up three more colours of the satin ribbon, white, cream and a pretty baby pink, so very happy with these. I also got myself a re-usable cooking liner, as an extra to the one I won from Dana years ago, to use with my distress inks ha ha

I also got some great luggage tie on labels for just 10p in the sale at Value House and some more stick on pearls as well :)

I put a very small ebay order in and got a couple paper pads, I got the new Marjolaine and Granola pads, very excited about these, and cannot wait to start making cards with them.

I will take a photo tomorrow of the other thing I managed to get at Value House for just £2.20 each, and that was a huuuuuge white clothes peg, that I plan on decorating, and they came in black, blue, red and grey plus white, which I thought was fabulous value for money, they also have a thing on the back that you can then hang them on the wall!!!! so will be getting three more and decorating each of them for my three daughters.

I want to decorate my youngest's bedroom, but it will involve stripping wallpaper, de-moulding walls, the whole kit and caboodle, but that will involve some serious saving for that I think lol

Its challenge time again over at My Favourite Things, I love their stamps and dienamic dies, good job that I don't have the pennies to constantly buy their goodies lol

Now I had a fantastic Mo Manning boys image sat on my desk, so I wanted to create a boys card for this challenge, hopefully it will be okay.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!!

Oooh I just had to partake in this challenge lol, I have made soooo many cards in the last few days not sure what is wrong with me lol.

I thought I would do this challenge, as there will be another one tomorrow!!! nothing like leaving it till the last minute ha ha ha

Where I have been doing so much tidying in my crafting area, I came across these gorgeous images that I got sent from Splitcoaststampers and I love this image, think it is by Stampendous, and if anybody knows of anyone who is wanting to get rid of one of these stamps, please please let me know.

I did a lot of distressing as you can see and even coloured in using distress inks last night.

I then came across the sketch challenge, and it seems to fit this image and sentiment just perfectly.

I still had my basic grey papers out, so used a few more of these plus some lovely brown satin ribbon and some card candy by Craftwork Cards, along with the elegant card shape by them as well.

Hope you like, well I am off to bed now as its gone 10.30 pm and I will have another busy day at work, trying to fill even more engineers days up, had a good day today lots of pennies on the board lol

Wow, I have found so many new challenge blogs!!!! oh my word lol what is a girl to do

I seriously love Mo Mannings digital images, they are so cute and down to earth and this image I can just see this happening lol

I coloured in two of her images last night so I decided to make a quick card this afternoon for a couple challenges.

I used some gorgeous Basic Grey paper, Kioshi, some lovely purple bazzill cardstock, I used my nestability labels 1 dies, and of course distressed to my hearts content using Tim Holtz distress inks. I coloured this little lady in with my copic pens, added a Tim Holtz Tattered Flower and wrapped some pretty seam binding around, and hey presto

I had this gorgeous Pure Innocence digi stamp that I have had for a while and as I was printed off my latest image for Stamp Something's digi day I thought I would download a few others for colouring and making up.

I actually made three cards last night!!!! sooo impressed with myself lol.

I dug out some much loved precious scrapbooking papers that I have had for years now and true to my new years resolution, have finally used.

I used my lovely new sewing machine and the sketch challenge, and hey presto my card was borne lol

Hellooooooo tis Sunday evening again

Hi everybody

Well I am hoping that I still have a few people that read my blog, not convinced any more lol.

Over the last few nights I have been using my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and a number of mediums.

I have decided to try my hand at creating flowers using pages from a book (Mills and Boon)!!! and I really like them. They look so cute.

I also decided to create some using some canvas sheets that I bought from Value House, it was an A5 Plain Canvas Exercise Book for just 50p!!!! complete bargain I tell you.

I cut out a few sheets and made some flowers, I have photographed the one I finished yesterday, I have actually just reacted another one this evening in reds and yellows, soooo lush.

The first flower, I just used some Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen, the second one was made using Wild Honey and Barn Door. The third was made using my canvas sheets and the gorgeous Broken China and Tattered Rose!!! I then sprayed them with Pearl Glimmer Mist and dried using my heat gun, you cannot really see the shine from these photos, mores the pity. I looooove these flowers.

Well I am not sure about where you are, but up here in NH, winter is in full swing! The kids have missed day after day of school and we have almost 3 feet of snow out there with more on its way!!! Crazy I tell you! Sooo we decided a WINTER THEME is the way to go this week! So bring on the snowflakes, snowmen or maybe even a nice warm cup of cocoa....whatever says winter to you!

I had a blast with this card. You might think, hmmm this looks vaguely like the one below, well you would be right, I made this one first, fell in love with it and have made more since lol.

I could not bring myself to make a christmas card etc, so I hummed and harred for a while and this just kinda came together really. I used a crayon to add a resist feel to my background having already stamped the french script su stamp onto some cardstock, I then added my crayon snow and then used tim holtz distress inks to create. Looooove it.

Distress Heaven

I went to town last night on this card, I did a little distress resist with a very very pale crayon and then distressed using Tim Holtz distress inks having already stamped with some SU brown ink and the gorgeous French Script SU backgrounder stamp.

I then mounted this onto some brown cardstock that I then distressed with a pair of scissors lol.

My girls got given amongst other things a WHSmith voucher from their Step-grandparents at christmas and my mother in law to be had wrapped them in a piece of, almost like vertical blind material, if you know what I mean. Well what more do I need to say about that, I nicked all three pieces lol and had a play last night with diecutting it using my Tim Holtz Alterations On The Edge Townscape die, loooooove this diecut, its just fabulous. I then used my inks and distressed it, it came out fabulous, well I think so anyways lol. I then added a little more by stamping over the top with SU brown ink and the French Script SU backgrounder stamp.

I then sprayed some Glimmer Mist (Pearl) over the top, but I don't think this shows in my photo.

I cut this in two and made it look like a town on my card lol. I really really like how this turned out. I then decided to go with the flow and make a Tim Holtz Tattered Floral flower, using pages from a mills and boon book he he he. I diecut the flowers out, crumpled up, and then using my inks I distressed using broken china and the barn door inks. I then put it together and spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist, dried with my heat gun and added a red button and some raffia that i died with broken china ink. Finished off with some adhesive pearliesed gems that I got up Value House for £1 (bargain as there are 100 of them on one card, and all for a £1!!!).

I really really love this card

At the Value House, Caty and I found these fabulous large wooden letters, that, as you can see below, open up to reveal lots of little sections. Well what more do I need to say, we both looked at them and said "oooooh we could decorate these" lol. Unfortunately they only came in A, B and C, so Maddie picked a little box to decorate. A is for me, B is for Bethany and C for Caitlin lol. They are huuuuuuuge as well.

Looook, its my pink ATG, I just had to photo it lol and show you all :)

I then found these beautiful satin reels of ribbon, for just £1.50 (20m of it)!!!!! Loads of colours, but I went for these as I love olive green, beautiful black, this lush rosey red and gorgeous pale brown colour.

They are also doing rolls of organza material, I treated myself not only to the letters, ribbon but also two rolls of this organza (2m for just £1.10) in dark choc brown and a very very pale creamy brown colour as well. I have already been experimenting with the pale brown and my tattered floral die, made a very cute flower I have to say, will have to make a card now I think lol.

What is with the awful weather in the UK at the moment, rain, rain, rain and oh yes RAIN!!!! yukky

I have been in a great crafty mood, very happy with that. I have received all my goodies that I have ordered recently, so am busy using them all lol.

I spoilt myself to be honest, I got myself a lovely new sewing machine from Argos, its absolutely fabulous, and its only their Value Sewing Machine but it has everything you could possibly need in a sewing machine and is built nice and sturdy as well. I love these lil monsters by Hero Arts. I needed to make a card for my challenge card, and after spending loads of time using my new sewing machine, realised that it was a theme card and I hadn't done it right!!! what a plank lol

So here is my card for you all to see.

I coloured in using copics, used some great papermania hampstead designer paper which I did a heck of a lot of stitching too ha ha. Hope you like, I am entering this in the latest challenge over at Allsorts Challenge Blog :)

Don't you just hate it when you find a sketch challenge to follow, and then cannot remember whose it was!!!! arhhhhhh I found one last night, made this cute card and now cannot find the link to post to for the challenge, blurrrrr very annoying lol.

I used one my new stamps from Lili of the Valley, Together Forever, along with their gorgeous date stamps, looooving these so much.

I coloured in with copics and inked around using Broken China distress ink. I cut out the yellow cardstocking using some cute Go Create dies, beautiful label shape. I diecut some turqoise felt with my MFT rose die, and attached three larger pearls on, looooving this card. I have spent ages trying to find the sketch I used last night, but nope can't find it!!!! how very very annoying lol

I put in a very small order over at Ribbon Girl especially after seeing that they were selling the beautiful seam binding that I have been drewling over for a while lol, and seems to be rife in US but like gold dust in the UK, like normal then really lol.

Another shout out for a fabulous company with great service, thank you so very much Andrea and Mary, fabulous and my little parcel was so pretty as well :)

I also picked up some of my favourite Star Dust Stickles, love this stuff, and thought I would enter the world of Glossy Accents, lol, as I normally use Anitas 3d glaze. Am hoping that this lives up to every ones raving.

I just treated myself to a PINK ATG gun and double sided tape, that should be fun!!! lol cannot wait for that to arrive, very excited.

Okay, here is my card for this week's challenge, I got to play with a very gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp, called April Showers, so sweet and cute, and so fabulous for decoupaging which is what I did with her head.

I made my cute flower from Tattered Florals by Tim Holtz and then a little rolled up rose in the middle with lots of lovely distressing and glitter. I decoupaged April's head and as usual coloured in with my beloved copics. I used some scrapbooking papers i had in my stash, still planning on keeping to my one new years resolution lol of using what I have already!!!

Well I hope everybody elses day went better than mine did at work today!!!

The card I have made I am entering into two challenges, one is the Mo's Challenge Blog (Mo Manning) loooove love love her images and the second is a sketch challenge over at MFT's Wednesday Stamp club - Get Sketchy, I love doing sketches as you probably already know so this was perfect and I got to showcase the large scallop die-namic border die as well :)

At the bottom I did a little paper pleating, and then wrapped some lovely white raffia string around this, and then created one of the ever gorgeous MFT Die-namic Roses!! I am so going to get my big shot out and create some felt ones of these, as have seen these all over the blogging world and they are beautiful :)

Friday Sketchers Challenge - 136

Wahoo, another sketch done already and its only the second week into January 2011!!! I was very lucky to be given a digi image of one of the new Lili of the Valley images to use in last months Cardmaking and Papercraft for a commission, and this reminds me of my youngest and my fiance's youngest lol when in mega strop mode!!!! This sketch is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge No 136

I some more delicious My Minds Eye "Laundry Line" papers and my new Die-namics for the clouds (which I doodled around) and the large scalloped border, coloured her in with my copics, popped her up on 3d pads, wrapped some beautiful white twine around and added a cute button

These papers are so very pretty in real life, all lovely shiny and glittery

Ooooh I love the images from Mo Manning, and I bought a few digi stamps a couple months ago, one of them was this beauty, and reminds me of a few little girls that I know lol.

I had great fun colouring her in using my copics and then a little distressing whilst the image was still in its nestability die.

I had another play with one of my Die-namics dies, this time the rose and although it was a little more difficult to roll up but equally as pretty when its done, I played around a little and rolled up some rag that I bought eons ago, and popped that into the middle of the paper rose.

The papers are by My Minds Eye "Laundry Line" very cute and pretty sparkly glittered papers, just lush.

I even decorated the inside for once lol, loving doing this :)

I love Jen's sketches over at IHeart2Stamp.Com, don't do enough of them, but found the first one this year and thought why the heck not.

Now over at http://iheart2stamp.com/ they have just started a new way of doing the challenges, it is going to be a month long challenge and at the end of the year on Christmas 2011 a parcel worth over $200 will go out to one lucky challenge winner who has participated in every single challenge this year, now that is quite cool I think, but you have to be in it to win it as they say, so here is my card for January's month

Okay, lets talk about New Year's Resolutions, I generally don't do these, as I never keep them and who needs the added pressure in their lives, certainly not me lol, but I am making one tiny teeny one for just myself and that is to try and use up some of my lovely scrapbooking papers, so I started off as I do mean to go on and used some of my gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl collection that I bought absolutely years ago, but have hardly touched cause I love it so much!!!! rofl. We are so funny when it comes to our lovely scrapbooking papers aren't we!!!

Now you will have to excuse my very poor excuse of sewing across the bottom of my card, my lovely Janome Sew Mini sewing machine decided it was not going to play ball whatsoever and I just managed to get the bottom bit sewn before I lobbed it across my conservatory!!! it is now in my bin, and I have ordered another one (yes I know I must be nuts) but I found one at a fantastic price, much much cheaper than what I paid for my original one three years ago from Argos!!!!! bizarre lol

I used a lovely digital Pure Innocence image that I have had for a while sitting on my computer and as usual coloured in with my favourite medium, Copics, looooove these so much. I diecut some of the lovely roses by Die-namics, which I have to confess took a little while to roll up, def not as easy as the plain flowers to roll lol and I also used my new big scallop border which is sort of hidden under some other pieces on my card.

Hope you like, myself and the girls are planning on a nice quiet Saturday as my youngest is still not right after being very ill over the christmas period, in hospital twice with a condition called HSP. Still borderline as to whether she is going to school next week as yet :) Happy Saturday to you all

I had emailed Tracy to find out if she had any certain MFT Die-namics that I was particularly keen to get my little hands on lol and she replied super quick, I ordered and hey presto they arrived today lol

Have used this for a small dinner party, and it was absolutely fantastic, kept everything piping hot, just wanted we needed :) Only thing I have noticed is that it has scratched already on the hotplate, but hopefully that will not deter from its performance next time.

Kut 4 U was formed in 2009 by Gina Hubbard and myself (Angela Drummond). It is an unlikely partnership due to our locations, Gina being in the midwest, USA and me being located in the north of Scotland.

Christmas Fairy

I adore using Mo's digital images, they are so incredibly cute, and especially this one, I had lots of fun with this and blending my reds together to create this beautiful christmassy dress.

I thought I would enter this for Mo's Dream Team DT call, not holding out much hope lol, but hey who knows in this life, you hae to enter to be considered ha ha. I used my new Sizzix snowflakes dies and a quickutz large spots embossing folder. I wrapped some scrummy christmass ribbon that I got from Allie Pallie back in September and added lots of lovely different glitters to make this a wonderful glittery card.

I am also entering it into the Fab n Funky challenge this week

This is a very cute photo of our cute new little puppy who we have called Bryn, he is definitely a character lol. Even his pee'ing and pooping in the house hasn't stopped me from loving this little boy, he is gorgeous and so loving. We will get there with his toilet training!!!!

Stamp Something - Thankful Somethings

Here we kick off a two week challenge for Stamp Something and that is to make a card with the theme Thankful Something, so something that shows thanks - now I struggled a little bit with this, as I don't make that many thank you cards, and we do not celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK so it was a little on the difficult side for me lol

I think I slighted detered from what I now believe I should have done and that is use something that can be purchased from Simon Says, oooooopsy. Although having said that I am sure Simon Says sells nestabilities!!! lol

It's is time again for a DIGI DAY!!!! yippie!!!!!! For those of you new to our digi challenges, all you need to do to play along is use something digi. It can be and image, a sentiment, papers, embellies....ANYTHING at all, as long as it's digital!

I got to play with Whimsy Stamps, the digital variety lol and oooh I love so many of their gorgeous images, I decided to go with Little Christmas Angel as its nearly christmas

I had a ball colouring this beauitful angel in, and I used some new Forever Friends Christmas papers I picked up from a local shop near me, I had to use one of the beautiful cards from Craftwork Cards, love this shaped card. I coloured in using my beloved copics, and distressed using my lush tim holtz distress inks ha ha of course. I bought some beautiful parcel gold ribbon, the type that has the wire in the sides, and it wraps and ties so beautifully - please pop over and visit the other design team, they have created some stunning cards as usual :) Happy Friday everybody
