Birthday time ...

Here is the card I was asked to make for my partners mum, her birthday is at the beginning of January and I made this with some things I had on my desk.  Its very bright and so not christmassy lol.

Nearly ......

Tis nearly 2013 and I have to say I really hope it is better than 2012!!!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas the girls and I definitely did, I more than made up for anything lacking in their lives.

Caty got her All Star Converses she wanted, Maddie got her Fliker she had had her eye on and Beth got a guitar, and she absolutely loves it, it looks really cool.

What did you all get??? anything crafty?? I did, I got a couple of MFT stamp sets, and then from my fiance I got some die sets, so very happy with these, very lucky girl.

Soooooo, being in the crafty mood that I was before Christmas, I bought my girls a gift voucher for their favourite store, Primark, and decided to make them a special card to hold them.

This is said card:-

All the girls loved them and I had a blast making these using MFT stamps and dienamics :)

Christmas Poinsettias ....

Whilst I have been off after my operation, I have been sat colouring and cutting out, and I am in love with the Spellbinder's Poinsettia die, it is just absolutely beautiful, and you can do so much with it.

I have made a fair few cards recently, but not really felt like uploading them, and so because I am finding it easier to sit at my desk again, I thought I would upload some of them and hope that people find inspiration from them, as I do from others on the net :)

I absolutely love this card I made, I think I will be doing more of this I just love it lol
This was made using the Spellbinders Poinsettia Die, along with the Cherry Lynn's flourish, and gorgeous papers by Dovecraft, and to finish it off the beautiful sentiment by MFT, and gorgeous Olive Satin ribbon!!! just lush :)

I had a good play with the above card, again using my poinsettia die, rubbed some gold rub on over it, to make it shine, and used some Sizzix snowflake die cutters.

This is the Spellbinders Poinsettia die used the other way, my vote is out on this way at the moment lol, but again the beautiful sentiment is by MFT, same set, papers by Dovecraft.

Whilst sitting on sofa recovering, I sat and put together some decoupage that came free with a magazine not long ago, and I made this card with it, its quite cute :)

I adore these bunnys that Cats Pajamas have, this was actually a digi download and I am so pleased with this card, came out exactly as I imagined in my head :)

Hope you have enjoyed some of my latest cards :)

I adore this image, and was very lucky to get hold of the stamp a while ago second hand :)

I used some gorgeous Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas papers, this one is Vintage, just beautiful colours.  I did my usual with Tim Holtz lol and coloured in my image using copic markers, finished off with lots of gorgeous stickles, a lovely intricate metal photo corner, and this luscious red satin ribbon, and dotty button again by Dovecraft! :)

I am going to enter this into a challenge!!!! wahoo, its Tilda's Town - Merry Christmas challenge.
Hope you like x

Wintering Sunday ....

Hi everyone

Well its 6.10pm on this wintery Sunday.  I am counting the days till my operation, so I get out of this pain every month, wahoo, can't wait.

A few weeks ago, I made this cute card, using the beautiful Fur Cones LOTV stamp, I do love this, I know I keep saying it but I do!!! lol

I used some kraft card for the background, cut out some kraft snowflakes and then stickled them.  I used the gorgeous Spellbinder Poinsettia dies and then used some Tim Holtz distress inks to make them a little more rustique!!!

Birthday Girl

Well, another year, and my eldest is now the grand old age of 15 years.  She is now 5ft 11 inches and towers over me now!!! lol  Lets just see its a challenge getting her shoes and jeans that fit her these days bless.

I am glad that all my side of her family remembered her birthday and sent her something to celebrate, shame that only one person on the other side could be bothered, but the person that did, it was so appreciated by Bethany she was chuffed to nuts.

I made Beth a very special card, like I do every year, for all my girls.  This year, Beth has been following a very funny chap on youtube, who puts on some very funny videos every week, and is gaining himself quite a following, including my daughter lol.  Now Beth has always liked Llamas, and this chap does as well it would seem.  I will show you the card and you can judge for yourself lol

This chap is called danisnotonfire and Beth thinks he is the bees knees lol, she also has this Llama hat that I had to buy from abroad especially for her birthday, I thought she was gonna bust when she opened it up, so was so happy.  She also got the Friends DVD 15th Anniversary Collection, she is a massive Friends fan, lol which means I can now delete all the episodes she tapes on my sky box!!!! mwaaha ha ha one of her pressies still hasn't turned up, so still crossing fingers on that one.

have a great evening :)

I have made this pretty card using Lili of the Valley's Fur Cones cute christmas kitten stamp.  It is soooo cute, and very therapeutic to colour I might add.

I made using a lovely christmas designer pad called Winterland by Fancypants, beautiful muted colours, so pretty.

I made one of my poinsettias, again very therapeutic to make and added some beautiful red satin ribbon.  Lots of stickles glitter glue all over the branches for the snow and hey presto its finished :)

Magnolia takeover!!!

Hmmmm well it has been an awfully long time, yet again between my last posting.

I have had lots going on.

I have an awful lot of cards that I can show you, I have been making up a storm lol, and all of course, using Magnolia stamps!!!! looooooving them.

To start with, I am selling a whole load of my crafting goodies, some of my favourite Stampin Up stamp sets, I need the pennies for my daughter's birthday which is coming up, and the rest will go towards Christmas :)  The link to my ebay page is below:-

Now onto some cards I have been making, all are for sale (of course)!! he he

The first card I did a little decoupage on tilda's face, arm and the flower.  I really like all the cards I am making at the moment, I am very chuffed with how my colouring has progressed, I never thought I would be able to colour so well :)

I absolutely love this card, its one of my all time favourites, I think its because of the colours that I love so much

Happy Monday everyone

Flower anybody...

Hi

I simply adore this Magnola Tilda with Flower, so is just soooo incredibly cute.  I am glad I have found my love of Magnolias again.  I sold nearly all of my Tildas a few years ago, kept a few, plus some of the animals, books, horse, trees, things like that, but the rest I shifted.  Just trying to get some back again, especially some of their newer creations, so cute.

I made this the other evening, and I love all the pinky colours that I used, hope you like :)

Rethink on the Blog Home....

Hi Everyone

I have decided to come back to my good old blogger home for Sillybirds Stamping Diary, as I find it is a lot easier to link to others and also there are lots more you can do with blogger than wordpress.

So just to confuse everybody I am back here!!! lol

I do have quite a few cards that I can start uploading as I have been making lots using some gorgeous Magnolia stamps again, fallen in love with these little sweethearts all over.

Made using a gorgeous Tiddlyinks Digi stamp, so cute, the sentiment was a freebie set that Sylvia Zet designed for Papercraft Essentials magazing (I think!).  Papers are Portabello Road.

My second card is made using this gorgeous Beautiful Tilda, sooooo cute.  I used some new to me Marianne Design flower dies.  I have since updated this card by adding a flower button to the middle of the flower.  I also used a new Cheery Lynn die that I got from Lisa over That Craft Place, on Facebook.  Looooove it.

These are three cards that have been made recently, and all of them could be entered into the latest challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog this week!!! :)

I will go with the last one, definitely has wings on it, gorgeous Martha Stewart butterflies, this punch is much loved by me, I adore it.  I made this lovely Sympathy Card for my friends mum and herself on the passing of her uncle.  I think they liked it, if you can like such a thing!!

Hugs from me for this dark Monday evening.
