Spirals!!!!

Yippee, finished the colouring and just made the card, I really like it, its such a stunning image that I didn't want too much embellishment on the card, what do you think?

Image by Jeremiah Ketner, papers by Prima "Princess", very apt I think for this beautiful image :)
I am going to enter this into a couple of challenges, its been soooo long lol

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog
Craft your Passion
Its a new glasses kinda day :)

Today, I picked up my new glasses, as my eyes have got worse, and it was cheaper to order whole new glasses rather than have my new prescription put into my other frames, go figure on that one!!  - they look really lovely, well I like them lol, and I took my 11 year old with me, who helped me pick them out so they better look nice he he

Maddie went to a sleepover last night, and I go to pick her up at 11am today, for her to come out saying "Mummy don't be too worried about my nose"!!!! What lol - She says "I slept walked into Bea's wall last night"!!!! pmsl - she has a stonking red mark across her nose and its all swollen bless her little heart and obviously sore.

Soooooo onto cardmaking business, I have jumped back into my colouring again with my copics, and as much as they are very expensive, I just love them - can't help it, have tried cheaper versions of alcohol pens but they aren't for me, I just plain ole love copic pens.

This image has been doing the rounds on some of the facebook crafting pages that I frequent and I just love it, and knew it would be perfect to start practicing my colour skills on again :) with a lot more depth that I want to achieve, and it is.  This is what I have created with her so far, and I love it.  The image is purchased from Jeremiah Ketner Fine Arts etsy page.

Off to watch a movie me thinks, might be back later with another card I have made

Happy Saturday afternoon everyone :) x

Altenew - to me

I have found another new Stamp company that I hadn't heard of until last week, and its called Altenew, they have the most beautiful and gorgeous clear stamps - absolutely stunning.

I jumped into the pool and bought Painted Flowers (from Make the Day Special in the UK, fabulous and quick service), so so pretty.  Its a four layered flower set, and creates a painted look, which seems to be a very popular look in cardmaking at the moment.

I had a look around their gallery and Pinterest for some inspiration, and came up with the cards below - which I am super happy with :)

Made with Stampin Up inks and Altenew Painted Flowers/Clearly Besotted Sentiment

Such simple cards really, but a lot of attention were put into these as is required when doing four step stamping!! ;)

I used some watercolour paper for the bottom card, and watered the image when I had it on my acylic block and then stamped and it gave a slightly softer look I think.  I then spritzed the turquoise ink over the whole image and I really love how it looks and how it turned out :)

Happy Thursday guys :)

Wednesday 11 February 2015

Wednesday already!!!

OMG where has this week gone already, okay, I wasn't at work yesterday as my youngest, was poorly the night before so I had to stay home with her yesterday, bless her little cottons :), she is all better today though and back to school.

I have a couple more cards to share with you, made using some Clearly Besotted Stamps (of course) lol.

Made with Clearly Besotted Dandelion Dreams and the thanks die

The cards were both made using Stampin Up inks, I have since got myself some Memento inkpads as well, to add to my colours, plus they are cheaper than Stampin Up inks and when on a budget, needs must :)
How pretty are these!!! I got these on Ebay five for the price of four, so a pretty good bargain :)

I also managed to pick up from one of the selling groups on Facebook, this fabulous Fiskars Stamp Press, I have been after one of these for well over a year now, so am in a little bit of heaven at the moment, that I managed to pick one up for just £10 with postage!! :)

This thing is absolutely huge!!!! I cannot believe the size of it lol.

I treated myself to my first Zig Wink of Stella glitter pen in clear, so really looking forward to playing with this tonight :)

Hope you all have a great evening x

New Year - new me??

Hi All, well not sure who all will be now, as I have been missing in action for a very long time!

Lots has been happening to a certain degree and on the other hand nothing has been happening!! ha ha

We are all another year older, I am going to be a big whopping 43 this year (okay where has that come from!!!) eek, my girls are another year old, I now have a nearly 18 year old, a nearly 15 year old and a nearly 12 year old!!! OMG!! That is seriously frightening when you sit down long enough and think about it.

My girls are just gorgeous, not only are they gorgeous to look at but they have gorgeous personalities and are such lovely funny young ladies, they either make me laugh myself silly, or make me want to bang their heads together!! ha ha

I decided, possibly stupidly, back in August last year to get myself my own small dog, I have always craved a smaller dog, and I bit the bullet and bought myself a beautiful male Show Cocker Spaniel, who I named Barley.  He really is the love of my life (he he), I love him no matter what he has done, and I can tell you he has done a lot to my home!!! not to mention my lovely new pair of Hotter shoes! gulp

Because of Barley, who decided that he was going to be an early morning dog, and I am soooo not an early morning person, it has been very hard to cope with the tiredness I have experienced lol, with a job where I am on the road from 7.30 (ish) until I get home at 18:30 every single evening.  I am only now just beginning to stay up past 8-9pm at night, but I will say that's not every evening as I crash otherwise lol.

Soooooo with all the above, I have finally started to get my crafting mojo slowly returning, and it is slow but returning.  Not sure if anyone else has had the same thing, but I find that I have changed my style of card making to more simplistic cards, which is hard as well as really nice :).  I'd be interested to hear from others if they have had the same thing happen.

I got a Cameo last year and have really enjoyed making creations with that, and made some bits and bobs to sell before christmas which was nice and a nice booster.

I have got back into Clearly Besotted stamps, which are a fabulous English stamp company (wahooo, its about time we got a fab company in the UK), this is run by Stephanie Wincott.  They have the cutest stamps and I am having a whale of time creating with these.

I also have a love of Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant stamps, but haven't purchased any of these as yet, as I am slowly building up my collection, but its all money and with three (well nearly three) teenagers in the house, money is tight :)

Went through all my stash over the weekend, and am going to be doing a big well off of bits and bobs that I know I won't use again so no point in hogging it all to myself lol :)

Made using Clearly Besotted Brushed Poppies set
So for the first card I used one the Brushed Poppies set by Clearly Besotted stamps, of course.  I used my Stampin Up inks, as they are the only ones I have a lot of colours in. I have had a good look around the web for different inks to use with these stamps, and from a value point of view I have landed on Memento Dye Ink as not only do they do the most beautiful and striking colours, but at only £3.45 for a big ink pad, they are an absolutely fabulous price and stamp out beautifully.  I bought a little pack of white scalloped cards from The Works, which I am systematically working my way through, and think I might put the cards as a little set and see if I can sell them as a set rather than as individual :)

Made using Clearly Besotted Brushed Poppies set and the happy birthday dies are by My Favourite Things
Second card, is again using the gorgeous Brushed Poppies and this time I teamed it up with some MFT Happy Birthday dies.  I love this font.

I am waiting on a Happy die by Mama Elephant to land on my doorstep in the next couple days, very excited to get this, as I am loving all the new fonts that are being brought out in dies at the moment :)

Hope you like, and if you would like to leave me a comment, that would be awesome, Happy Monday to all :)
